    Fix Capital Letters in Seconds

We have all been there. You type half a paragraph, look up, and realise Caps Lock was on the whole time. Or you copy a heading from a PDF and it arrives in shouty capitals. Retyping it is a waste of time. Paste the text in the box above, click the style you need, and it's done.

The case converter runs entirely in your browser, so your text is never uploaded or stored on a server. It works just as well for a single word as it does for a full chapter.

How to Use the Case Converter

    1. Type or paste your text into the box. You can also open a .txt file or drag one straight onto the box.
    2. Pick a style under Convert To. Your text changes instantly.
    3. Only need to fix one line? Select it first, and just that part gets converted.
    4. Changed your mind? Press Undo or Ctrl+Z to step back, as many times as you like.
    5. Use Quick Preview to copy any style without touching your original text.

    Every Case Style Explained

    • UPPERCASE turns every letter into a capital. Good for short labels and warnings, but long stretches of it are tiring to read.
    • lowercase removes every capital. Handy for cleaning up email addresses, tags and text pasted with odd capitals.
    • Title Case capitalizes the important words in a heading. With smart title case on, short words like "and", "of" and "the" stay lowercase unless they start or end the title.
    • Sentence case capitalizes only the first word of each sentence, along with the word "I". It is the most natural style for body text and many modern headlines.
    • Capitalized Case gives every single word a capital letter, including small words.
    • aLtErNaTiNg and iNVERSE case are mostly for fun, memes and social posts.

    Developer Case Styles

Programmers name things in very specific ways, and switching between them by hand is error-prone. Each line of your text is treated as one name, so you can convert a whole list in one go.

    • camelCase is the usual choice for variables in JavaScript and Java, like userProfile.
    • PascalCase is common for class and component names, like UserProfile.
    • snake_case is the standard in Python and many databases.
    • kebab-case is what you see in CSS class names and clean URLs.
    • CONSTANT_CASE marks values that never change, such as MAX_RETRIES.

The converter also understands names that are already written in a code style, so userProfileSettings can become user_profile_settings without any manual editing.

    Title Case Rules, Made Simple

Style guides such as AP and Chicago disagree on a few details, but they share the same core idea: capitalize the first and last word, plus every noun, verb, adjective and adverb, and keep short articles, conjunctions and prepositions in lowercase. Smart title case follows that common ground, and it starts fresh after a colon, so a subtitle gets a capital too.

If you write for a publication with strict rules, use the result as a fast first draft and check the few words your guide treats differently.

    Keep Acronyms Safe

Ordinary converters turn "NASA" into "Nasa" and "HTML" into "Html". With Keep acronyms switched on, words that are already fully in capitals stay that way in Title Case, Sentence case and Capitalized Case. When an entire text is in capitals, for example after a Caps Lock accident, the tool knows it can't tell acronyms apart and converts everything normally.

    FAQ

    Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about the case converter, your privacy and how each style works.

    Is the case converter free?

Yes, it is completely free with no sign-up and no limit on how much text you convert.

    Is my text stored anywhere?

No. Conversion happens in your browser. Autosave keeps a copy only on your own device, and you can switch it off in Options.

What is the difference between Title Case and Capitalized Case?

Title Case leaves small words like "of" and "the" in lowercase, which is how most headlines are written. Capitalized Case capitalizes every word without exception.

Can I convert only part of my text?

Yes. Select the words you want to change, then click a style. The rest of your text stays exactly as it was.

Does it work with Hindi text?

Hindi and other Devanagari scripts have no capital letters, so that text stays as it is, while any English words around it are converted normally.
